FIFA RULES..?
Nu heb ik heel weinig met voetbal. Tenminste met profvoetbal. Amateurvoetbal vind ik wel leuk en het voetbalteam waar mijn oudste zoon in voetbalt in het bijzonder. Het komende wereldkampioenschap voetbal in Duitsland zal dus grotendeels aan mij voorbij gaan. Toch spookt onderstaand berichtje al enige dagen door mijn hoofd.Dit komt ongetwijfeld omdat ik dagelijks veel met media in de weer ben. Zowel op papier als op het world wide web. De vrijheid van meningsuiting en de actualiteit van het nieuws heb ik dan ook hoog in het vaandel staan.FIFA, and many other sports organizations, have begun introducing terms and conditions for coverage of events that limit the number and the timing of photographs that newspapers can publish on their web sites. De FIFA wil de persvrijheid tijdens het WK2006 aan banden leggen door journalisten te verplichten pas 2 uur nadat het laatste fluitsignaal heeft geklonken fotos van deze wedstrijd te publiceren. Te gek voor woorden. De World Association of Newspapers(WAN) staat inmiddels op zijn achterste poten. Voorlopig lijkt het erop dat de FIFA de dienst uitmaakt.
